This course will describe the types of Generator Circuit Breakers, the technology used, and their limitations. Advantages and shortfalls of using one technology versus the other, technical parameters of the GCB, and selection criteria. The main providers offering of 24kV GCB SF6 General Electric; ABB also vacuum GCB offering from Siemens and Air Compress from Alstom France are reviewed.
