About This Course

Dive into the world of stormwater management with a comprehensive exploration of modeling and design using HydroCAD. This course provides an in-depth look at the fundamental principles of hydrology and hydraulics as they apply to modern stormwater systems.

The curriculum covers the practical application of HydroCAD software to simulate watershed runoff, evaluate detention basins, and size complex drainage networks. Content encompasses the essential modeling workflow, ranging from configuring catchments and routing parameters to analyzing outfalls and generating detailed compliance reports.

  • Explore the transition from pre-development to post-development site conditions.
  • Learn to navigate HydroCAD for subcatchment modeling, pond design, and outlet structure configuration.
  • Gain insights into integrating real-world data, such as NOAA Atlas 14 rainfall statistics, into your engineering workflows.

Designed for civil engineers, site planners, and hydrology professionals, this program offers a robust overview of the techniques required to tackle diverse drainage challenges, manage peak flows, and navigate municipal stormwater regulations effectively.
